Photo reblogged from Travis Helwig with 20 notes
My good friend, Travis (who has long supported this comic and is also a hip hop artist), recently got in a fight with the people over at Cannot Unsee. They are one of those blogs that doesn’t produce original content, so they just like to repost the same recycled meme/macro/bullshit that people who understand what “an internet” is have seen hundreds of times.
This all started because our mutual friend, Glenn (who has long supported this comic and is also a woman), made a “cannot be unseen” in photoshop and it got featured on The Daily What. Then someone submitted it to Cannot Unsee, and that person was credited instead of Glenn. Our other mutual friend, Zach (who I’m not sure if he is a supporter of this comic but I know he loves ska, and that is always cool in my book), contacted them to try and get the appropriate credit for Glenn. The blog refused to side with Zach. Travis stepped in. Pointless internet battles ensued. Then, Cannot Unsee deleted all their argumentative posts and changed their banner to this.
So, what does this have to do with anything?
Nothing. You guys are all assholes who laugh at my window-licker web comic, I figured you’d appreciate some more stories about other assholes on the internet. Fucking ungrateful.
I’m reblogging this not to bring up the issue anymore but to point out that I am a supporter of the comic
The internet is a dangerous place.
I haven’t been really following this, but changing the banner image is ridiculously petty and dumb.
